It’s Opening Day for Major League Baseball! Last year, baseball fans saw a truncated season played to empty seats, an expanded postseason, and new experimental rules and regulations. What changes will carry over into the 2021 season? And while the Yankees have their eyes on another World Series title, the Mets are hopeful their luck might change now that the team is under new ownership and new management. How might the New York teams fare this season? Evan Drellich, baseball reporter for The Athletic, joins us to discuss all things baseball and take calls from fans.

We'll remember the life and legacy of children’s book author Beverly Cleary, who died last Thursday, March 25, at the age of 104. Kirby McCurtis, the President of the Association for Library Service to Children, joins us and we'll take listener calls.

Hans Aschim joins us to discuss his new book for young readers, How to Go Anywhere (and Not Get Lost): A Guide to Navigation for Young Adventurers.

Under the Pepper Tree is singer and fiddler Sara Watkins’ first solo album since becoming a mother. The collection of covers and two original songs is designed to appeal to both kids and adults, and on it, Watkins is joined by bandmates from her Grammy-winning groups Nickel Creek and I’m With Her, as well as her 3-year-old daughter. Watkins joins us for an All Of It “Listening Party” and shares an exclusive performance.

WNYC arts and culture editor Jennifer Vanasco recommends some (safe) activities for this weekend.
